  George J. Dyer, resident of Preston for many years, died early Sunday at South Waterloo Memorial Hospital. He was 68 and had been ill for seven weeks. Mr. Dyer was born on the Isle of Wight, England. He came to Preston in 1912 and was an employee of George Pattinson and Company Ltd., until he retired four years ago. Mr. Dyer was a guest at Eventide Home, Galt, in recent years. He served overseas during the First World War. The body will be at the H. K. Stager Funeral Home until Tuesday at fouro'clock, when the funeral service will be held at St. John's Anglican Church, with burial in Preston Cemetery.
