      Miss Isobel Jane (Elsie) - After a brief illness, at South Waterloo Memorial Hospital, on Monday, Nov. 5, 1979, in her 88th year. She was the daughter of the late William Savage and Jane Belle Savage of Ulster and Australia. Miss Savage was born in Brisbane, Australia, on December 3, 1891. Educated by Kangaroo Point Girls School and St. Andrew's School in Brisbane. She later emmigrated to Newtownards County Down, Northern Ireland with her father and sisters, where she completed her education. The family later came to Canada and settled in Cambridge (P), where two of her sisters were Victorian Order nurses for many years. Miss Savage was a lifelong member of the Anglican Church Women and was a member of the Elizabeth Circle of St. John's Anglican Church, Queenston Road, Preston. Predeceased by her parents; three sisters, Margaret, Sarah (Sadie), Reg.N., Elizabeth Gillanders. She is survived by her sister, Annie, Reg.N., of Golden Years Nursing Home. Also surviving is her nephew, Trevor L. Jones, 6 Buttonwood Drive, Kitchener, and grandniece, Meghan Elizabeth Jones and grandnewphew, Scott Flint Savage Jones. Resting at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge (P), until Wednesday noon, then to St. John's Anglican Church, Cambridge, for funeral service at 2 p.m. with private family communion preceeding this at 1 p.m. Rev. Canon A. H. Skirving will officiate. Interment in Preston cemetery.
