  WILKINS, Dorothy Amanda (nee Reuter) - Passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital, at sunrise on Sunday, September 23, 2007, in her 81st year. Survived by her loving husband of 57 years, John (Dooley) Wilkins. Dear mother of Mary and her husband Wayne Burnet of Cambridge, and Thomas Wilkins and Heather Fliegel of Wasaga Beach. Dorothy was a special "Gaga" to Brooke Burnet and loving "Grandma" to Thomas and Katelyn Wilkins. She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Dorothy was the last surviving member of her family, having been predeceased by her parents, Stanley and Helen Reuter and her brothers, Allan (Phyllis) Reuter, Fred (Mary) Reuter and Ted, as well as her sisters, Margaret (Bruce) Buchanan and Gloria (Bruce) Wilkins. As per Dorothy's request, cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to a memorial gathering to celebrate Dorothy's life in the Coutts Reception Cottage, 96 St. Andrew's St., Cambridge on Saturday, September 29, 2007 from 1-3 p.m. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Stirling Height Long Term Care Centre, as well as the doctors and nursing staff at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital for their kindness, compassion and loving care at this difficult time.
