At Chateau Gardens in Elmira, Beulah died peacefully on Monday, January 26, 2004, at the age of 78 years. Beloved wife of Kenneth Clarence Eby, who predeceased her September 24, 2002. She will be missed by her children, Sandra Shantz, her husband Brian and their children Adam, Brad and Luke; Carol Lawless, her husband Don and their children Josh, Katie and Marc. Dear sister of George Burden and his wife Myrtle of Newfoundland and Leona Huggett of London. She was predeceased by her parents, Laura (Wareham) and Joseph Burden; brothers, Charlie, Bob and Hubert Burden and sisters, Sadie, Marion and Irene. Born on November 25, 1925 in Broad Cove, Newfoundland, Beulah emigrated to Hespeler in 1947 to work in the mill. After their marriage, Beulah and Ken moved to Kitchener where she lived for nearly 50 years. Prior to her stroke in 1994, she was an accomplished knitter, active Guider during the 1970's, enjoyed darts and Yahtzee. A celebration of Beulah's life will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Saturday, January 31, 2004, at 3 p.m., with Rev. V. H. Hennig officiating. Following the service, friends and relatives are invited to the Reception Room of the funeral home for refreshments and a time to visit with the family.
