  Gladstone Yates PRESTON, Oct. 20 - Well-known Preston resident for the past 63 years, Gladstone Burdette Yates died in St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, at 9: 20 Saturday morning. The late Mr. Yates, who was in his 74th year, had been ailing for the past three years and had been confined to hospital, seriously ill, for three days. Born in Caledonia the late Mr. Yates, at the age of eight. came to Preston and resided here since that time. In December 29, 1898, he was married to Amelia Kistner, who survives. Employed at Clare Bros. for four years, the deceased was employed with Pattinson Woollen Mill for 40 years in the weave and wool rooms. Surviving is his wife, Amelia Kistner; a daughter, Mrs. E. S., (Florence) Jardine and a brother, Thomas Yates, of Preston. The late Mr. Yates is resting at the Stager-Pass Ltd. Funeral Home from where the service will take place on Tuesday at two o'clock.
