- OLIVER, JOHN L1TTLE
PRESTO N, Oct. 23. Oliver John Little, well-known Preston resident for the past 28 years and merchant of the municipality for 15 years, died at the Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital at 4: 30 yesterday afternoon at the age of 78 years. Mr. Little had been ailing for the past 18 months confined to hospital for four days. Born in Thornbury, Glos., England, he lived for a short time in Georgetown and for a short time in Kitchener, before coming to Preston. A baker by trade, he conducted a bakery business in Preston, from 1913 to 1928, the business being known as Little's Bakery. Selling the business in 1928 he lived retired since that time. A member of the Preston Masonic Lodge, A.F. and A.M. Mr Little was also a member of Preston-Cambridge I.O.O.F. Lodge. His wife predeased him in July, 1942, Surviving are four sons, Oliver J., Edward, William C. and Herbert F. Little, all of Preston; a brother, L. J. Little and a sister, Mrs. R. H. Higgs, both of Olveston, England. Three grandchildren also survive. The remains are resting at the Stager-Pass Funeral Home from wbere the funeral well be held on Thursday, at 2.30 p.m. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery.
