  CARTWRIGHT, Charles E. Of 766 Hamilton St. Preston, at the South Waterloo Memorial Hospital, Wednesday, Dec. 6, 1972, Charles E. Cartwright, beloved husband of Susannah Stahlbaum; father of Wendel of Kitchener; brother of William of Buffalo, James of Pitteson, N.Y., Mrs. Mary Crawley of Brantford and Vida (Mrs. Fred Stahlbaum) of Cardiff; also survived by one granddaughter, Joan (Mrs. W. H. Holland) of Kitchener and two great-grandchildren. Born in Valens and lived all his life in Preston; past conductor of the Grand River Railway, retiring in 1956; member of St. Paul's United church; member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen; also member of Cambridge Odd Fellows Lodge, Preston, of which he was a member for over 60 years. Resting at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, Preston, where funeral service will be conducted Saturday, at 1: 30 p.m. Interment in Preston cemetery. Kitchener-Waterloo Record 7 Dec 1972 pg 33
