    • MRS. ELIZABETH MITCHELL

      PRESTON. May 13\emdash A resident of Preston for the past 55 years, the death took place Monday at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, of Mrs. Elizabeth Fleischman Mitchell, 82, widow of the late Charles Mitchell. Deceased had been removed to hospital as a result of a fall three weeks ago when she broke her hip. Born in Neustadt she lived in Galt before coming to Preston. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran church and also of the ladies' Bible class. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Clayton Scherer and Mrs. George Russ, both of Preston, and one son, W. C. Mitchell of Detroit, three sisters, Mrs. J. Haugh of Lindsay, Mrs. L. Rockel of Kitchener, Mrs. M. Kerney of Walkerton, 12 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Her husband predeceased her in 1925. A son, James, predeceased her in 1934. Three sisters, Mrs. Sophia Kleinsteuber, Miss Minnie Fleischman, Mrs. C. Rhode and two brothers, John and Fred Fleischman, also predeceased her. The remains are at the H. K. Stager Funeral Home, Queen and Argyle streets. Preston, from where the funeral will be held on Wednesday at 2.30 p.m. Interment will be in the Preston cemetery.
