  SCHERRER, Mrs. Ida Of 520 Hopewell Rd., Cambridge (Preston), Sunday, Jan. 6, 1974, at the Sunnyside Home, Kitchener, Ida Whiting, beloved wife of the late Charles Scherrer; dear mother of Charles and Allan of Preston, Alberta (Mrs. Erwin Hunter), Betty (Mrs. Harry Haddaway), Muriel (Mrs. Arthur Clark), all of Preston, in her 83rd year. Mrs. Scherrer was born in Bridgeport and came to Preston in 1900, from Kitchener. She was a member of St. John's Anglican Church and the Queen Rebekah Lodge, Preston. She is also survived by one brother, Robert Whiting of Preston and one sister, Mildred (Mrs. Kenneth Howcroft) of Galt; also 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Scherrer is resting at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, corner of Queen and Argyle Streets, Preston (Cambridge) where funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, at 2 p.m. Interment in Preston cemetery.
