  MRS. BARBARA LORCH HARTLEY. Iowa, March 12. After an illness of nearly 20 years, Mrs. Barbara Lorch passed away on February 26. She was the sixth of seventeen children of Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Wcidenhammer of Heidelberg, Ontario and was born there in 1854. Shortly after the family moved to Elmira where the deceased was married to Philip Lorch in 1871. Soon after their marriage the young couple moved to Listowel where they farmed for 22 years, after which they returned to Elmira. Five years later they settled on a farm near May City Iowa. After 16 years Mr. Lorch passed away and later Mrs. Lorch retired to Hartley were her death occurred at the age of 82 years. Surviving are seven sons and two daughters. Three children predeceased her. Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, March 2. Kitchener Daily Record 12 Mar 1937 pg 18
