  William Smith PRESTON, William Smith, 70, of 1225 Queen St., died early today, at his residence following a short illness. Mr. Smith was born at Campbellville, Ont. and had resided in Preston, for 53 years. He was a painter and decorator and had owned his own business for a number of years. He was a member of St. Paul's United Church. Surviving are his wife, the former Myrtle Roesgen, four sons, Harold of Galt, Gordon of Hamilton, Kenneth and Donald, both of Preston; two daughters, Mrs. Jack (Grace) Lund, of Galt and Mrs. Norman (Mary) McKenzie of Stoney Creek, one sister, Mrs. Myrtle Wright of Toronto and 13 grandchildren. The body is at the Stager-Barthel Funeral Home, where the funeral will be conducted, Friday, at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery. Rev. A. I.
