  William F. Thuroo - William F. Thuroo, 75, of 32 Noecker St., Waterloo, died today in London, Ont., after a lengthy illness. Born Sept. 29, 1886, in Crosshill, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. August Thuroo. A resident of Waterloo for the past 18 years, he farmed in the Erbsville area for many years previously. He was employed at Bauer's Ltd., Waterloo, for 14 years until retiring two years ago. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Waterloo. His wife, the former Wilhelmina Ebel, whom he married June 15, 1909, in Erbsville, survives. Other survivors are five sons, Elmer, at home, Oscar at Elmira, Edgar of Winnipeg, and Eldon and Orland, both of Stanmore, Alta.; five daughters, Era, at home, Mrs. Clarence (Olga) Dorscht of RR 3, Waterloo, Mrs. John (Elva) Swiech of Kitchener, Mrs. William (Olena) Lautenschlager of Germany and Mrs. John (Oma) Ferreira of Rome, N.Y. Also surviving are a brother John of Hamilton; two sisters, Mrs. John (Ross), Heinrich of Waterloo and Mrs. Harry (Catherine) Johnson of British Columbia and 34 grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter and a brother. The body is at the chapel of the Edward R. Good Funeral Home where the funeral will be conducted Saturday at 2 pm. Burial will be in Memory Gardens. Rev. A.L. Conrad of St. John's Lutheran Church, Waterloo, will officiate.
