PRESTON, Feb. 11. Arthur Edward Midgley, well-known Preston resident for the past 25 years, died at the K-W Hospital, this morning, at the age of 69. Ailing for some time, Mr. Midgley had been confined to hospital for the past five weeks. Born in Scotland he came to Canada in 1924, living in Galt for one year and since that time in Preston. He conducted a private accounting business. A veteran of the First World War, Mr. Midgley served as a corporal in the Royal Air Force, serving in Salonika for three years. He was a member of Preston Legion. He was also a member of St. John's Anglican Church and was a staunch Conservative. Surviving are his widow in London, England; a son, Harold Midglev; two daughters, Miss Elaine and Miss Barbara Midgley, all of London, England; a daughter, Mrs. W. H. (Irene) Heise of Preston and a brother, Frank, in Galt. The body is resting at the Stager-Pass Funeral Homeb where the funeral will take placeb Monday, with service at St. John's Anglican Church, at 2 o'clock. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery.
