    • William Morrow

      PRESTON, Oct. 15 - William John Morrow, 73, well-known Preston resident for the past 37 years, died at Westminster Hospital, London, Sunday morning. Ailing for the past two years he had been seriously ill for the past two months. Mr. Morrow was born in Stratford and lived there until a young man when he moved to Brantford, coming to Preston from that city in 1909. A blacksmith by trade, he learned his trade with the C.N.R. shops at Stratford, and was employed with the Car and Coach, Preston, and later the Goldie McCulloch at Galt until his retirement 15 years ago. Mr. Morrow was a veteran of the First Great War. He was a former member of the 1.0.0.F. and Orange Lodges in Preston. Surviving are his wife, the former Minnie Davis and four sons, Laverne Kenneth, Harold George, Gordon Earl all of Preston, and William John, active member of the R.C.N., Windsor. Six grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive. The remains are resting at the Stager-Pass Funeral Home from where the funeral will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. under Canadian Legion auspices. Interment will be in the Preston cemetery.
