      PRESTON, Jan, 15— Popularly known Preston resident for the past 38 years, Minnie Davis, widow of William John Morrow, died at 7: 30 a.m. in Galt Hospital. Ailing for the past year, Mrs. Morrow had been seriously ill and confined to hospital for the past week. She was 74. Born in Northern Ireland, the deceased came to Canada at the age of eight, living in Brantford until 1909 when she came to Preston, making her home here since that time. She was married in 1900, her husband predeceasing her in October, 1946. A member of the Preston Baptist Church, Mrs. Morrow was a member of the Berean Bible Class and of the Preston True Blue Lodge. She was a member of the latter order for more than 60 years. She was also a member of the Preston Rebekah Lodge, and a charter member of the Preston Horticultural Society. Surviving are four sons, Laverne Kenneth, Harold George, Gordon Earl, all of Preston, and Chief Petty Officer William John of Halifax; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild and a sister, Mrs. John Bowden, of Brantford. The body is resting at the Stager-Pass, Ltd., Funeral Home from where the funeral will be held Saturday, with service at 2: 30. Internment will be in Preston Cemetery.
