  CALVIN C. GREEN PRESTON---A lifelong resident of this district and well known in Preston where he lived for 22 years, Calvin Carlton Green, choir leader at the Methodist church here and a member of the church board for 25 years, passed away Saturday night at his late residence, 517 Duke street. Deceased who was a butcher by trade and for many years, prior to his retirement from business 15 years ago operated a store here, was in his 82nd year. He had been in ill health for a short time. He was born on the old homestead on the Breslau road. Besides his widow, Lena Erb, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Edward Ransome of Preston and one son, Wm. Green of London. Besides two grandchildren, there also survive two sisters, Mrs. Aaron Erb of Drumbo and Mrs. David Ne w stead of Preston. The funeral is being held this afternoon from the late residence, where a service is being held two o'clock prior to a service at St. Paul's church. Interment is to be made in the Preston cemetery. The pallbearers will be Messrs. James Leslie, Joseph Hilborn, James Thomas, David Newstead and Thomas Parker, all of Preston, and Allan Hallman of Kitchener. Rev. C. G.
