  Miss Violet Rodger PRESTON - Miss Violet Rodger, 85, Preston resident for 14 years at the home of her sister-in-law, Mrs. George 1. Rodger, 838 Queen St., Preston, died at the Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital yesterday. Miss Rodger had been ailing for five years and confined to hospital for a considerable period. Born in Blenheim, daughter of the late Rutherford and Margaret Rodger, she lived in Arkell the greater part of her life. She was a member of Arkell United Church and for 30 years before coming to Preston was the Sunday school treasurer of that church. Surviving are a brother, Rutherford Rodger of Saskatoon, and a sister-in-law, Mrs. George I. Rodger, Preston. The body is at the Stager-Pass Funeral Home where the funeral will be held Wednesday at 2: 30. Interment will be in Preston Cemetery. Kitchener-Waterloo Record 28 Sep 1954 pg 5
