      PRESTON, Jan. 2 - Illness of a weeks duration culminated in the death at12.45 this morning of Charles Franklin Drader, wellknown Preston resident for the past 28 years. Since the death of his wife six years ago the late Mr. Drader had made his home with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Byron Ferrier, 236 Lowther St., Preston. In his 88th year the deceased was born to Tamworth, Eastern Ontario and lived in Coboconk and Victoria Road, Ont., before coming to Preston in 1915, The late Mr. Mader was a stationery engineer by trade and was employed for some years with Preston Furniture Co. He was a member of St Paul's United Church. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Byron Ferrier (Kathleen) of Preston and Mrs. Edward Kiefaber (Mildred), of Windsor; three sons, Howard and Cloyne, both of Toronto, and Philip of Moncton; one sister, Mrs. A. J. Hawken, of Wallaceburg. Six grandchildren also survive. The late Mr. Mader is resting at the Stager-Pass Ltd., Funeral Home from where the funeral will be held on Friday at 2: 30. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery.
