  Widow Stûmpfle An old settler, the widow of Michael Stümpfle, (who died 22 years ago in Preston,) nee Roos, died on Sunday here in the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Quirmbach. She was born in 1816 in Alsace, came to Buffalo with her parents in 1824, and from there, on foot, to Preston, where she married. Six years ago, she came to Berlin, to her daughter's. The deceased is survived by one brother, C. Roos, in Galt; nine children, 42 grand-children, and 6 great-grandchildren. The children are: Mrs. Quirmbach in Berlin; Mrs. C. Weiman in Winnipeg; Mrs. L. Welte, Charles, George and Herman in Terre Haute, Ind.; Mrs. H. Heise, Henry and John in Preston. Burial followed on Tuesday in Preston.
