  W. Ervin Eaton PRESTON, June 20 - Well known Preston resident for the past 37 years, W. Ervin Eaton, 62, died at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, yesterday after an illness of some months. Mr. Eaton had formed a large circle of friends. Born in Hespeler, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Enoch Eaton, he was married at Preston in January, 1912, to Emma Eitel, who predeceased him in 1939. A shipping clerk at the Canada Last, he was employed with that concern until illness necessitated his retirement early this year. A member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, he was also a member of Preston Masonic Lodge A.F. and A.M. and of the Preston I.O.O.F. lodge. He was a member of the Preston fire department for many years. Surviving are a son, Wilbur E. Eaton of Agincourt, Ont.; a sister, Mrs. A. J. Garner of Hespeler; three brothers, Melvin of Winnipeg; Percy of Orillia and Andrew of Kitchener and one grandchild. The body is resting at the Stager-Pass Funeral Home where the service will take place Wednesday at 2 o'clock. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery.
