  John Paterson Citizens of Preston are genuinely grieved to learn of the death of John Paterson, older son son of Mr. and Mrs. John Paterson, 929 Vine street, last evening. The desceased lad, who had been in his 16 year, died from an abscess of the brain. Some months ago he had an operation for nose trouble, which finally apparently cleared up. About five weeks ago, the illnes which proved fatal, attacked him.Three weeks ago he was removed to the Galt Hospital, where he was dangerously ill. Tuesday he was taken to the Toronto general Hospital, for an operation, which was deamed his only possable chance of recovery. Following the operation, Wednesday, he remained unconscious and passed away yesterday afternoon, about 4.30 o'clock. The desceased was born in Preston, May 24, 1914 and attended the Central Public school. He had just completed his first year at the Galt collegiate institute, where he was one of the most popular students. He belonged to the cadets and took an active interest in all sports. He attended the local United church. Besides his parents, one younger bother, Harold servives. Rev. H. D. Moyer, will conduct the funeral services Sunday afternoon, at 2.30 o'clock at the late residence. Later interment, will follow in Preston Cemetery. Kitchener Daily Record 26 Jul 1929 pg 3
