Preston. Aug 24— Fred Kleinsteuber, well known, lifelong resident of Preston, died at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, yesterday, at the age of 70 years. Mr. Kleinsteuber had been ailing for two months but had only been in hospital since yesterday morning. His brother, William, predeceased him two weeks ago. Mr. Klcinsteuber was engaged at Clare Bros. as a moulder for 55 years and was a member of Clare Bros. Benefit Society and also of the North American Moulders Union. He was also a former member of the Canadian Order of Foresters. For the past two months he had been employed at the Kondu Manufacturing Company. Surviving are his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Helen Clement, of Preston, a son, Howard Kleinsteuber, Breslau, two grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Sturdivant, and Mrs. Clarence McCallum, both of Preston and four brothers, Charles of Toronto, John of Cleveland and Edward and Otto of Preston. A daughter, Mrs. Marie Wenckebach, predeceased him in 1936, a brother Emil three years ago and a brother William two weeks ago, while a sister, Mrs. John Pfeiffer, predeceased him ten years ago. The remains are resting at the Stager-Pass Funeral Home, Preston, where the funeral will be held on Thursday at 2: 30 with Rev. Knauff of St. Peter's Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery.
