  Mrs. Ida Rooke HESPELER, Mrs. Ida Rooke, 77, of 59 Shaw Ave., Hespeler, died in South Waterloo Memorial Hospital, Galt, yesterday. A life long resident here, Mrs. Rooke was active in church organizations in her younger years and was a prominent local singer. Her hobby was gardening. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles, in 1937. Surviving are a son, Carl of Hespeler, two daughters also of Hespeler, Mrs. Ralph (Elsie) Armstrong and Mrs. Wilbur (Olga) Armstrong. Three sisters also survive, Mrs. Bertha Jordan, London, Ont. and Mrs Otto Wenzel and Miss Augusta Breich, both of Hespeler. Also surviving are two grandchildren. The body is at the Stager-Barthel Funeral Home, Preston, where the funeral will be conducted, Wednesday, at 4 o'clock by Rev. S. Gentle. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery.
