  Robert John SCHMIEDENDORF SCHMIEDENDORF, Robert John 1930 - 2016 Bob was the devoted husband of Jeanette (Furtney) Schmiedendorf for 63 years. Special father of Nancy Brown (Phil), Catherine Aultman (Clem), Sharon Douthwaite (Roger), Laura Schmiedendorf (John Johnson) and Lisa Steffan (Frank) all of the Cambridge area and Paul Schmiedendorf (Coleen) of New Brunswick. He is survived by 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grand- children and by his brother George Schmiedendorf. Predeceased by his parents Frederick Schmiedendorf and Bertha Grumble, siblings Evelyn England (Albert), Grace England (John), Earl Schmiedendorf, Dorothy Poore (George) and David Schmiedendorf (Patty). Bob had requested that he be cremated. Private family gathering will be held at a later date (brown.na@live.ca). The family wishes to give a special thank-you to the staff of 5th Floor of Cambridge Memorial Hospital for their excellent care of Bob during his 4 day stay there. We appreciate also the compassion, help and care of Corbett Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cambridge Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
