  SCHNARR, J. Edward At the home of his son, Harry, 14 Bridge Street East, Kitchener, on Friday, Sept. 20, 1974, suddenly following a heart attack. John Edward Schnarr, age 82 years and formerly a resident of Oak Street for many years. Mr. Schnarr was born in Waterloo, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Schnarr, he had been a resident of the Twin City area all his life and owned and operated barber shops in the Twin Cities for many years. He retired in 1970. Mr. Schnarr was a member of St John's RC Church, past-president of the Holy Name Society of the church and a member of the Waterloo Legion. Husband of Ida Eleanora Schneider, who predeceased him in June, 1971, father of Delores (Mrs, Walter Schmitt), Marie (Mrs. Arthur Lang), Harry and Gerald Schnarr, all of Kitchener; brother of George and Madeline (Mrs. Hector Lavery), both of Kitchener and Mary of Sarnia. Nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren also survive. Mr. Schnarr was predeceased by a daughter Rosana and by three brothers. Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. West, Kitchener, where the parish rosary will be recited Sunday, at 8 p.m. Prayers will be said at the funeral home on Monday at 9: 30 a.m., followed by funeral mass at St. John's RC Church at 10.
