  OLIVE IRENE JOHNSTON GALT. June 12 - Olive Irene Johnston died at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Grant Johnston of Blair, early Saturday morning. Death followed an illness, of more than 12 years. Born at Galt, she lived there for several years, then moved with her parents to Preston, where she also resided for several years. She lived the past three years with her parents at Blair. The deceased was a member of St Paul's United Church, Preston. She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs Kenneth Grant Johnston, a sister Mrs. Wendel Cartwright of Preston and a brother, Roff (Johnny) Johnston, with the Canadian Army overseas. The memorial service will be held in the chapel of the Harold Gray Funeral Home, Galt, on Tuesday at 3 o'clock. Interment will be at Preston Cemetery. Kitchener Daily Record 12 Jun 1944 pg 13
