      PRESTON, Dec, 31 - A resident of Preston for the past 15 years, since he retired from farming at Wroxeter, Ont., Benjamin Ringler died at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kreig, Wednesday, afternoon. Mr. Ringler, who was in his 89th year, had been ailing for some years and seriously ill for the last week. Born at Bright Station, near Platteville, he had resided there during the early part of his life and then farmed at Wroxeter until he retired 15 years ago and along with Mrs. Ringler came to Preston, making their home with Mr. and Mrs. Kreig. He was identified with the Presbyterian Church. Surviving are his wife, formerly Elisabeth Carmichael; one daughter, Mrs. Charles Krcig, Preston; five brothers, Aaron of Listowel, William of Lucknow, Moses of Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., Solomon of Pontiac, Mich., John of Friday Harbor, Wash.; three sisters, Mrs. Robert Hupfer, Wroxeter, Ont; Mrs. E. Hart, Windsor; Mrs. Andrew Tennant, Dearborn, Mich.; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Two sons predeceased him, Benjamin H. died at Galt in 1932 and John C. Ringler was killed in action in September, 1918, in France. The remains are resting at the residence, 508 Stuart Street, Preston, from where the funeral will be held on Saturday, at 3: 30 p m. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery.
