  Mrs. Ellen Lambert PRESTON, May 20— Ellen Pierce, widow of William Lambert well-known Preston resident, died at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Lambert, Preston, at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the age of 70. She had been seriously ill for the past eight months. Born in Eastbourne, Kent, England, Mrs. Lambert came to Preston with her husband 29 years ago, residing here since that time, making her home with her son, Roy, for the past 27 years. For 28 years, until her illness eight months ago, she was employed in the finishing department at Pattinson Woollen Mill. Her marriage was solemnized in South Nuffield, Surrey, England, 51 years ago. Her husband predeceased her 12 years ago. Mrs. Lambert was a member of St. John's Anglican Church, Preston. Surviving are three sons, Oliver and Roy Lambert of Preston and Robert Lambert of Sudbury; seven grandchildren and one great grand-daughter and a sister, Mrs. James Howick, of Surrey, England. The body is resting at the Stager-Pass Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at St. John's Anglican Church Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery.
