  CHARLES E. CRAWLEY PRESTON, June 30 - Charles E. Crawley, internationally known as a breeder and exhibitor of partridge, at his Duke street home last night, His passing is a distinct loss to the poultry breeding world, for he had won signal honors at the leading shows in New York, Chicago, Boston, Toronto and at Ontario's own show, at Guelph. Mr. Crawley, who was in his 62nd year, was born in Halifax, England and came to Canada 25 years ago, living in Toronto, for four years and then coming to Preston. He was foreman at the Eastern Steel Company, but has not worked since February, when he became ill. He was a member of the Orange lodge and the United church, Preston. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mary in Shangtu, China and Mrs. Vibert Hodgins, two grandchildren and four brothers, Rev. Mr. Clement, Fall River, Mass., Herbert of Halifax, England, Cyril and John, Providence, R.I. The funeral will be held from his home Saturday. Their will be a private service at the residence at 2 p.m. and a public service at St. Paul's United church, Preston, at 2.30. Interment will be in the Preston cemetery.
