  Marengo friends learned of the death of Mrs. Esther Steege Julke, East Dundee, who died Saturday at Sherman hospital, Elgin, following a short illness. Mrs. Julke was born in Marengo June 7, 1902, the daughter of Mrs. Minnie Steege and the late Adolph Steege. She was a graduate of the Zion Lutheran school and Marengo community high school and moved with her parents to Dundee in 1921. On Aug. 9, 1930, she became the bride of Paul Julke. Survivors include a son, Robert, her mother, and one sister, Eleanose Wenholz, all of Dundee, and a brother, Herbert, Los Angeles, Cal.
