    • MCQUILLAN, THOMAS

      Suddenly, at the residence of his brother-in-law, James McKie of Freeport, on Sunday, February 2, 1919. Mr. McQuillan had gone to the barn and, failing to return, a search was made and he was found dead. He was in his 73rd year and had lived in this district for years. The funeral was held on Wednesday afternoon from the home of James McKie at Freeport to Preston Cemetery.

      -Information from the marriage certificate of Thomas McQuillan: Of Puslinch. Born c. 1856 in Puslinch, son of William McQuillan and Agnes Blair. On Apr. 22, 1885, he married Sarah E. Jones of Wolverton Station.

      -Information from the death certificate of Thomas McQuillan: Widower. Son of William McQuillan and Nancy Blair. Died suddenly on Feb. 3, 1919, aged 73 years. Burial in Preston. Informant - Alex McKie of R. R. #1, Preston.

      -Information from the marriage certificate of Nancy McQuillan: Born c. 1853, daughter of William and Nancy McQuillan of Puslinch Twp. On May 24, 1883, she married Peter McKie of Dumfries, son of Alex and Jane McKie.

      -Information from the death certificate of Nancy McKie: Of 58 Lowther N. , Preston. A widow. Born in Puslinch Township on July 3, 1855, daughter of William McQuillan and Agnes Blair. Burial in Preston. Informant - Jacob Hertel, her son-in-law.
