      PRESTON, Cecil W. Walker, 71, of 155 Fountain St. North, died Wednesday, at South Waterloo Memorial Hospital, following a short illness. Mr. Walker was born at Dundalk and had resided here for nearly 70 years. He was a retired conductor of the Grand River Railway and was an ardent hunter and fisherman. He had played hockey in the Preston intermediate team, in 1919, when it won the championship. Mr. Walker was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church and of the Independant Order of Odd Fellows, Cambridge lodge and the Rebekah lodge. He was also a member of the Order of Railway Trainmen. Surviving are his wife, the former Alma Halberstadt; one son, Harry of Kitchener; two daughters, Mrs. Fred (Florence) Weiberg and Mrs. Ralph (Dorothy) Marquardt, both of Preston, and five grandchildren. The body will be at the Stager-Barthel Funeral Home, where services will he conducted Friday, at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery.
