On Tuesday, Nov. 17, 1887, at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener Reta Hofstetter, of RR 1, Plattsville. She was born in New Dundee, 62 years ago, a daughter of the late Wilfrid Wanner and the former Lauretta Fried. Beloved wife of John A. Hofstetter; Loving mother of Gerald and his wife Carolynne of Guelph, Mary Ella and her husband Gerald Henderson of London, Ont., Ferne and her hushand Donald Woolcott of RR 3, Bright, Richard and his wife Sheila of Simcoe, Cecil and his wife Cathy of RR 1, Plattsville and Laurie and her husband Clare Robinson of RR 2, Janetville. Lovingly remembered by 18 grandchildren. Dear sister of Willard and Ward Becker and Margaret Bean, all of New Dundee, Myrtle Vanderschoot of New Hamburg, Susie Good of RR 2, Baden, Cleo Brodhaecker of Cambridge (G), Ivy Musselman of Waterloo and Dorothy Shantz of RR 2, Petersburg. She was an active member of Grace United Church, Roseville; a life member of New Dundee Women's Institute; past matron of Thames Valley Chapter 199 of the Order of the Eastern Star. Reta also enjoyed gardening and quilting. Friends and relatives may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg, after 7 p.m. this evening (Wednesday) and until Friday at noon, when transfer will be made to Plattsville United Church for the service at 2 p.m., with Pastor Fred Monteith officiating. Interment in Plattsville cemetery.
