  Mary Elizabeth BALAN BALAN, Mary Elizabeth Passed away peacefully, with her loving family by her side at Lisaard House in Cambridge on Saturday, August 13, 2011, at the age of 62. Beloved wife of Steve Balan for 41 years. Loving mother of Michael Balan and Melissa Balan (Ahmed Shady). Dear sister of Clare Hergott (Sylvia) and Ron Hergott (the late Ethel); sister-in-law of Doris Brymer (Gary). Mary will be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews and many friends. Predeceased by her parents Clayton and Marietta (nee Reichert) Hergott; brother Ross Hergott; and her aunt Clara Reichert. Cremation has taken place. Mary's family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 16th from 7-9 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A memorial service to celebrate Mary's life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at 11 a.m. Reception immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Lisaard House would be appreciated.
