  Mrs. Jennie Hicks Formerly of Laurel St., Preston at the South Waterloo Memorial Hospital, on Saturday, Jan. 22, 1972, Jennie Proctor, beloved wife of the late Frederick Hicks and dear mother of Allen Grobe of Galt and Olive (Mrs. Harold Feather) of Galt in her 78th year, lived in Preston for the last 54 years, after coming from Toronto; member of St. John's Anglican Church and the Queen Rebeca Lodge, Preston; Mrs. Hicks was predeceased by her first husband William Grobe in 1951 and her second husband Frederick Hicks in 1967; also two sisters; Mrs. Margaret Watters, Toronto and Mrs. Beatrice Smale of Hamilton; survived by four grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Resting at the Barthel-Stager Funeral home, where funeral and committal service will be conducted, Tuesday, at 3 p.m. Interment in Preston cemetery.
