      Died at Hamilton General Hospital, Sunday, Oct, 6. James Robert Wood, beloved husband of Elizabeth Little Henderson, in his 59th year. Funeral Tuesday afternoon at 3.30 o'clock from the late residence on the Breslau Road. Interment in Preston Cemetery.

      In Memoriam Died At Hamilton General Hospital, on Sunday, October 6th, 1935 James Robert Wood Beloved husband of Elizabeth L. Henderson In his 59th year. The Funeral Will be held from his late residence, Breslau Road, on Tuesday, Ocober [sic] 8th, at 2.30 p.m. Interment in Preston Cemetery. Friends and acquaintances please accept this intimation.

      James Wood Passes Away
      AFTER OPERATION
      Waterloo County Farmer In 59th Year

      PRESTON, Oct. 7.-Death removed one of Waterloo County's most prominent citizens in the person of James R. Wood, of Preston, whose death occurred in the Hamilton General Hospital following an illness of six days while recuperating from an emergency operation. He was in his 59th year, 52 years of which were spent here.

      The deceased, through his active interest for the promotion of farming conditions, enthusiastic work in county and township matters, had been popularly known and highly respected throughout the entire county. Born in Winterbourne, Ont., son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James S. Wood, he moved to the farm which he operated until his death on the outskirts of the municipality when he was seven years of age. He followed the occupation of a farmer his entire life and in this business kept up with the times, his farm being a model for the county.

      Deceased was also interested in the progress of the county and at the time of his death was deputy reeve of the Waterloo Township Council. He served for many years on the municipal board and also on the county council, being a member of the latter body at the time of his death. Mr. Wood was an ardent member of Knox Presbyterian Church and held many positions in the church, being an elder at the time of his death.

      Surviving are his widow, one son, Robert, at home; four daughters. Elizabeth, New Dundee; Janet, Dickie Settlement; Helen, at home; Margaret, of Preston: one brother, William Wood, of Laverne, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. D. W. Elsley, of Hamilton; Miss Mary Wood. Preston; Miss Jessie Wood, Baltimore, Maryland: one niece, Mrs. Tariton, of Hamilton. The funeral will be held on Tuesday afternoon,
