      PRESTON, April 20 A prominent resident of Preston, Frederick C. Albert, aged 88, died at his home here yesterday. Mr. Albert, who lived here for the past 50 years, was born in Germany, coming to Canada 80 years ago. He was raised in the Kossuth, district. Before coming to Preston, he lived in Drayton. Desceased was a contract carpenter and for four years he was in charge of the carpenter work at the Langdon-Wilkes residence at Blair. He was also engaged as carpenter at the Pattinson Woolen Mills. Mr. Albert was interested in horticulture and gardening. He attended St. Peter's Lutheran church. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. John Sutherland of Calgary, one son, Glenn at home, one brother, Jacob of Windsor and two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Hoelscher of Preston and Mrs. John Morris of Hespeler. His wife predeceased him a year ago.
