  AYRES, Annie Elizabeth (Thompson) Of Markham, at her residence on Saturday, December 2, 1995, in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late Henry William Ayres (1973) and dear mother of Henry William Ayres of Florida, Margaret Elizabeth Simons of California and Mary Jane Lamensa of Markham. Also survived by her sisters; Margaret Smith of Mitchell and Jane Rutherford of Toronto. Dear grandmother of Nancy, Chris, Gary, Debbie, Rob and Jean, Clementine, John and Carmen, she also has 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter. Predeceased by her brother, John Thompson and her grandson, Philip. Mrs. Ayres was born in Kendal, West Moreland, England and she arrived in Preston, Ontario in 1905. Mrs. Ayres was a member of St. John's Anglican Church in Cambridge (Preston) and she was a member of the Eastern Star-Preston Springs Chapter #208. Friends will be received at the BARTHEL FUNERAL HOME, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge on Tuesday, from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. John's Anglican Church, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge on Wednesday, December 6, 1995, at 11: 30 a.m., Canon David Bowyer officiating.
