  GIBSON, Alden F. (Hoot) Of 1611 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, on Tuesday, Aug. 27, 1991, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, in his 75th year. Beloved husband of Patricia MacKenzie; dear father of Rodney and his wife Jane of Cambridge, Alden E. and his wife Gloria of Breslau, Margaret (Mrs. Wolfgang Reemannl of Kitchener and Elizabeth (Mrs. Frank Foreman) of RR 2, Branchton. Lovingly remembered by 10 grandchildren. Mr Gibson was born in Elora and lived all his life in Cambridge. He was a retired professional engineer and travelled overseas as a volunteer with C.E.S.O. He was a member of St. John's Anglican Church, the Royal Canadian Legion, Preston Branch 126 and an associate member of the HLI. He had served in the merchant navy in the Second World War in the Atlantic and Caribbean with rank of Lieutenant from 1939-1945. The family will receive friends at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, today (Wednesday) from 7-9 p.m., Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted at St. John's Anglican Church, Cambridge, Friday, Aug. 30, at 11 a.m. Interment Preston cemetery.
