    • Harry G. Legg

      PRESTON, Harry G. Legg, 1190 Queen St., died today, at South Waterloo Hospital, Galt He was 86. Mr. Legg was born in England and came to London, Ont., in 1905 and to Preston in 1908. He was Preston's first town engineer, serving from 1908 to 1913, when he received an appointment as civil engineer for the Dominion government. He retired in 1946. He was a member of St. Paul's United Church. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Amelia Burke, in 1968. Surviving are three brothers, Ernest and Sidney both of England and Herbert of Calgary and one sister, Mrs. R. J. (Minnie) Heaton of London, England. The body is at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, where funeral and committal services will be conducted Sunday, at 2:30 p.m. Interment will be in Preston Park Lawn cemetery.
