  W. H. Arundell, a former manager of the Bank of Montreal branch in Brandon, died recently in Preston. Ont. Mr. Arundell is survived by his wife; and two daughters. Mrs. F. N. Hancock of Preston and Mrs. R. R. Hall of Ottawa. The Brandon Sun, Wed, Feb 28, 1968 Page 5 _____________ William R. H. Arundell By Record Staff Writer PRESTON William Robert Harris Arundell, 115 First Ave., Preston, a retired bank manager, died suddenly Monday. He was 80. Mr. Arundell was born in Minnesota, U.S.A. He had lived the last 10 years here. He was a retired bank manager of the Bank of Montreal. Mr. Arundell started his banking career in 1904 in Yarmouth, N.S. Later he went to Western Canada for 25 years, returning to Galt in 1937. He retired from the Galt branch in 1949. Following retirement. he was for two years secretary of the Grand Valley Conservation Authority. He moved to Meaford in 1951 where he resided until 1958, when he returned to Preston. He was a member of St. John's Anglican Church. Mr. Arundell had served with the Royal Flying Corps. in the First World War. Surviving are his wife, the former Jane C. Jameson, two daughters, Mrs. Neil (Elizabeth) Hancock, Preston, and Mrs. Roderick (Shirley) Hall, Ottawa; one brother, L. H. Arundell, Newmarket, and four grandchildren. The body is at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home where funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 4 p.m. Committal will be in Park Lawn memorial chapel. Interment in Preston Park Lawn cemetery.
