- Alexander Nitch
PRESTON— Alexander Nitch, 64, of 247 Sherring St. died Saturday at South Waterloo Hospital, Galt. Mr. Nitch was horn in the Ukraine. He lived in Preston for 31 years after residing for 18 years in Kitchener where he was employed at Lippert's Furniture. Here he was employed at Canada Buffalo Sled and at Fairfield's and Son until retiring three years ago. He was a member of the Ukrainian Church, the Ukrainian People's Home and the Ukrainian Fraternal Society. Surviving are his wife, the former Paulina Gulyk; one son, Joseph, and one daughter, Helen, both of Preston; one brother, Roy Nitch of Preston; two brothers in Europe; two grandchildren. The body is at the Stager-Barthel Funeral Home, where service will he conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Park Lawn Cemetery. Rev Peter Triska of Brantford will officiate.
