  Mitchell Barron PRESTON - Mitchell Barron, 75, of 643 North St., died yesterday at South Waterloo Memorial Hospital. Mr. Barron was ill for three months and in hospital eight days. Born in Marnoch, Scotland, he lived there and in Australia before coming to Canada. He lived in Thamesford and Hespeler before moving to Preston in 1955. Mr. Barron farmed most of his life, but worked for five years at the Dominion Woollens and Worsteds Ltd., Hespeler and five years at the Snyder potato chip plant near Preston. He was a member of Hespeler United Church. He was married 35 years ago to Rachel Perkins, who survives. Other survivors are two sons, George, London, Ont. and Murray, Hannon: two daughters, Mrs. Murray (Jean) Seeley, Galt, and Mrs. Leo (Doris) Ernewein, Preston, three brothers, Alex and Alfred in Scotland; Peter, Australia; two sisters. Jean, Scotland: Mrs. Robert (Bella) Hampton, Virginia, U.S. There are nine grandchildren. A public service will be held at Stager-Pass Funeral Home, 2 p.m. Thursday, with burial in Preston Cemetery.
