- Mrs. Emma Schmidt
Mrs Emma Schmidt, 80, of 95 Shanley St., died today at K-W Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born in Germany May 13, 1872, she had lived in Kitchener since she was 18. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Her husband, Karl Schmidt, predeceased her in 1941. She is survived by three sons, Albert of Kitchener, Carl of Bridgeport, Milton (Milt), Boston; three daughters, Mrs. William (Bertha) Nutter, Mrs. Percy (Elsie) Hertzberger, both of Kitchener; Mrs. Theodore (Martha) Sim of Waterloo; four brothers, August and Marcus Warnholtz, both of Kitchener, Herman, Hespeler, Julius, Waterloo; one sister, Mrs Emil (Hanna) Simon of Kitchener; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. The body is at the Gruhn Funeral Home, where the funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m by Rev. H. W. Opperman. Interment will be in Waterloo Mount Hope cemetery
