      Harold W. Gowing, 441 Edwin St., died on Monday at St. Mary's Hospital after a brief illness, He was 46. Born in Peel Township near Glen Allan on Sept. 6, 1921, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Gowing and had lived in Kitchener for the past 29 years. He had been employed at the B. F. Goodrich Co. for 27 years. Mr. Gowing was a member of the B. F. Goodrich 20 year club and served overseas with the Canadian Forces during the Second World War. He was associated with the Kitchener Minor Hockey Association for the past 12 years and was convener of the KMHA bantam league for four years. Mr. Gowing also acted as manager of the bantam A, all-star team. Surviving are his wife, the former Audrey Robins, whom he married in Kitchener on May 1, 1943; two sons, David, at home, and Wayne, Boston, Mass.; one daughter, Brenda, at home; two brothers, Elgin, Kitchener and Wilbert, Glen Allan, and two sisters, Mrs. Louis (Winifred) Weitzel, Glen Allan and Mrs. Earl (Irene) Reickert, Kitchener. He was predeceased by one brother, Gordon. The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home where service will be conducted on Wednesday at 2 p.m. by the very Rev. F. G. Stewart of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in the Glen Allan cemetery.
