  Gordon H. Strome Widely known in the painting and decorating trade, Gordon Hugh Strome, 14 Edward street, passed away today at K-W Hospital. Former owner of the old Strome Decorating Company. Mr. Strome, who was in his 39th year, had been ill for the last 11 months. Mr Strome was born in Kitchener, a son of Mr. Menno Strome and his wife the late Anna Peppler. He was married to Goldie Manser. He was a member of the K-W Kiwanis Club. Surviving, in addition to his father are his wife, one son, Arthur, three daughters, Marjorie, Myrtle and Jessie, all at home, as well as three brothers, Walter, city, Harold of Toronto, Louis in Bloomington, Ill. and four sisters, Mrs. J. Knipfel, Toronto, Mrs. R. Perry, Lockport N.Y., Mrs. G. Larouix, Windsor and Mrs. E. Snider, Toronto. The funeral will be held on Friday afternoon, from the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home at 3 p m. Interment will take place in Woodland Cemetery. Rev. C. A. Hirschman and Rev. G. F. Barthel will have charge, the remains will be at the funeral home. Kitchener Daily Record 30 Sep 1936 pg 19
