  Augusta Woodhead PRESTON, March 1— Well-known Preston resident for the past 39 years Augusta Woodhead, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Woodhead, died in St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, at 10: 45 Saturday night. Miss Woodhead, who was 70 years of age, had been ailing for two months. Born in Batley, Yorkshire, England, she came to Canada in 1910, making her home in Preston since that time. In recent years she resided with Mrs. George Rodger, Queen St. A member of Knox Presbyterian Church, Miss Woodhead was keenly interested in the work of the choir, having been a choir member during the past 38 years. She was also active in the work of the Preston, Red Cross Society. For the past two years she was employed with Savage Shoe. Her mother predeceased her in Preston in 1913. Surviving are a niece, Mrs. A. R. Jackson, of Hamilton; a nephew, Walter Fox, of Kitchener, seven great nieces and five great nephews. A nephew, Robert Fox, of Galt, predeceased her in 1943. The body is resting at the Stager-Pass Funeral Home, where the funeral will be held Tuesday at 2: 30. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery, Kitchener-Waterloo Record 1 Mar 1948 pg 13
