Of Golden Years Nursing Home, Cambridge, on Thursday, June 9, 1994, at her residence, in her 96th year. Beloved wife of her late husband, John E. Schramm (1974). Dear mother of Paul and his wife Kathleen of Cambridge. Lovingly remembered by two grandchildren, Laura and Andrew Schramm, both of Cambridge. Predeceased by one son, Jim (1978); one brother, James Harvey; two sisters, Pearl Reist and Laura Brown and one grandson, Christopher. Mrs. Schramm was born in Cambridge (Preston) in 1899 and was a lifelong resident. She had a keen interest in the history of her community and was recognized by many for her knowledge of "Old Preston" and its inhabitants. A retired clerical worker and a member actively involved in the life of Knox Preston Presbyterian Church. A life member of the Women's Missionary Society and secretary for the 1949 Old Boy's Reunion (50th anniversary of the town of Preston). Friends will be received at the Barthel Funeral Home. 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge, today (Saturday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral will he held on Sunday, June 12. 1994, at 2.30 p.m. at Knox Preston Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Al Beaton officiating. Interment in Preston Cemetery .
