    • John Witmer, "was born November 30th, 1835. He was married to Mary Stauffer. After their marriage they resided at Shantz Station, thence they moved to Lapeer County, Michigan, where he died October 8th, 1881, leaving a family of two children, namely: Jacob and Lydia."
