  SOHRT, Herbert John Formerly of 235 Church St. S., Cambridge, on Sunday, Sept. 5 1993, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, in his 88th year. Beloved husband of the late Isabelle Reid. Dear brother of Helen (Mrs. Robert Nix) of Cambridge. Lovingly remembered by nieces and nephews. Mrs. Patricia Herzog of Waterloo, Mrs. Barbara Pitcher, Miss Wendy Nix, Kenneth Nix, all of Cambridge and John Ekins of Lindsay. Predeceased by his mother and father, Matilda and John Sohrt and one sister, Margaret Ekins. Herbert was born in Cambridge (Preston) and was a lifelong resident of the area. He was retired from Clawsey-Sohrt Manufacturing, a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church and a member of the Preston Lawn Bowling Club for 75 years. He was also an avid sports enthusiast. Friends will be received at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, today (Tuesday) from 3-5 and 7-9 p m. The funeral will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, Sept. 8 1993, at 2 p.m., with Rev. Norris Heubner officiating. Interment in Preston Cemetery.
